Facsimile of the cover from the German edition of the letter written by Amerigo Vespucci (1454-1512 to Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco de' Medici (1463-1503), sent to Florence from Lisbon in 1502. In it, he related his third voyage (1501-1502), in which he entered the service of the Portuguese, whose expedition set sail on 10 May 1501. The original handwritten letter was written in Italian and later translated into Latin for the first printed editions. In 1505, publishers in Basel, Augsburg and Nuremberg published the text translated into German. ""America.
