French satirical postcard from the series Oh! The Tiara! Early 20th century. Poems by Gaboriau. The Tiara of Saitaferne, a gold tiara that was belonged to the Scythian king, Saitapharnes (3rd century BC). The Louvre Museum bought the object in 1896 for 200,000 gold French francs, but It turned out to be a fake, made shortly before by the Odessa jeweler Israel Rukhomovsky.
