Lazhutai candlestick. China. Second half of the 17th century. State Oriental Museum, Moscow. The central part of the candlestick is made in the form of the hieroglyph Shou - ""longevity"". The stand is decorated with paired images of ornamentally interpreted Long dragons and Shou hieroglyphs. The dragon is one of the main symbols in Chinese culture. It brings good luck, wealth and prosperity.
