Tray for offerings paean. Cambodia. Mid-20th century. State Museum of Oriental Art, Moscow. A round tray paean on a high leg is used to offer gifts during festive ceremonies. Between the rose flowers, there is a Chinese hieroglyph ""Shou"" - Longevity and the Latin letters EA. The tray is intended for the Chinese part of the population of Cambodia. It combines a typical Khmer form and decor with Chinese and European ornamental motifs.
