The chest. Russia. Western Europe. 17th - early 20th century. The chests an inconspicuous attribute of Russian life. It has long been used for storing clothes, linen, valuables. Jewelry and valuables were placed in small chests. The chests are decorated with paintings and forged elements, applied decor using perforation technique. The State Historical Museum.
