Zhukovsky Vasily Andreevich and the Turgenev brothers - Alexander Ivanovich and Sergei Ivanovich. 1827. By Friedrich Caspar David (1774-1840). Oil on canvas. In 1821, Friedrich Caspar David met Zhukovsky in Dresden. This painting was ordered by A.I. Turgenev, the artist depicted Alexander and his brother Sergei and the poet on the banks of the Elbe. Thanks to Zhukovsky, Friedrich's paintings appeared in Russia. This painting was presented to Zhukovsky as a sign of unbreakable friendship and as memories of the happy months spent together in Dresden. State Pushkin Museum.
