Bernardo Bellotto (1722-1780). Oil on canvas. View of the Old market in Dresden, 1751. The painting is part of a series of compositions with views of Dresden and Pirna, painted by Bernardo Bellotto between 1747 and 1755, commissioned by Count Heinrich von Bruhl, minister of the Elector of Saxony and King Augustus III of Poland. In 1768, this series of paintings was acquired for the Hermitage. At the Pushkin Museum since 1930.
