Icon of the Annunciation of the Mother of God. From the Iconostasis of the Church of Varlaam the Hermit and Tsarevich Joasaph. Armoury Chamber. Royal iconographers. Moscow. Late 17th - early 18-19th century. Tempera on wood. The Church of Varlaam and Tsarevich Joasaph was located in the first tier of the bell tower of the Novodevichy Convent near the chambers of Tsarevna Evdokia Alekseevna.
