Ballet Rehearsal. 1910. Depicts a rehearsal by Mikhail Fokin. The artist may have met the choreographer in 1907-1908, during Kustodiev's work at the Imperial Mariinsky Theatre, or in 1909, during the production of Sologub's 'Night Tale' at the Liteiny Theatre, where Fokin was the choreographer. Kustodiev Boris Mikhailovich (1878-1927). Pastel on cardboard. State Tretyakov Gallery.
