The Triumph of Constantine over Maxentius. It took place at the Battle of Milvian Bridge, one of the bridges over the River Tiber in Rome, on 28 October 312. Constantine I the Great (272-337) engaged and defeated the army of Maxentius (276-312). Engraving by Huyot after an illustration by Charles Le Brun (1619-1690), engraved by Gérard Audran (1640-1703) in 1666.
