France. Le Combat a la Barrière (Combat at the Barrier). Hall where the Grand Tournament was held at the Ducal Palace of Nancy on 14 February 1627. The celebrations were held in honour of the Duchess of Chevreuse. The story of the event was published by Henry Humbert, illustrated with a series of engravings by French artist Jacques Callot (1592-1635). Engraving by Huyot based on one of them.
