The Disembarkation of Cleopatra at Tarsus. In 41 BC, Mark Antony (83 BC-30 BC) summoned Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, to the Cilician city of Tarsus to negotiate a political and military alliance, which later led to a personal union.
