Marie-Joseph Chenier (Marie-Joseph Blaise de Chenier) (1764-1811). French poet, dramatist and politician. He was a member of the Club des Cordeliers and the Paris Commune. Deputy of the National Convention for the department of Seine-et-Oise. He joined Danton's party and voted for the death sentence on Louis XVI. Portrait. Engraving.
