Victor de Broglie (Charles Louis Victor de Broglie) (1756-1794), Prince of Broglie. French general and politician. He served with the Marquis de La Fayette and the Comte de Rochambeau in the American War of Independence. He presided over the assembly of the nobility of the bailiwicks of Colmar and Selestat, which elected him, on 1 April 1789, deputy of the nobility to the Estates General. He was a member of the Jacobin Club and sat in the National Constituent Assembly. Chief of Staff of the First Republic's Army on the Rhine.
