Francois Chabot (1756-1794). French politician. Deputy to the Legislative Assembly (1791-1792). Re-elected to the National Convention for the department of Loir-et-Cher (1792-1794), he voted for the the execution of King Louis XVI. In November 1793 Chabot was denounced by members of the Convention, accusing him of financial embezzlement. The Revolutionary Tribunal condemned him to death and he was guillotined. Portrait.
