Henri Gregoire (Henri Jean-Baptiste Gregoire) (1750-1831), also known as Abbe Gregoire. French Catholic clergyman, constitutional bishop of Blois and revolutionary leader. Elected deputy by the clergy of the bailliage of Nancy to the Estates-General of 1789. He was the first cleric to take the oath of the new Civil Constitution of the Clergy on 27 December 1790.
