Alexandre de Lameth (Alexandre-Theodore-Victor de Lameth) (1760-1829), Count de Lameth. French general and politician. Elected deputy of the nobility for Peronne (Somme department) to the Estates General in 1789. One of the driving forces behind the abolition of privileges on the night of 4 August 1789, although he was in possession of them, soon renounced. Portrait. Drawing by Hippolyte de la Charlerie.
