Guy-Jean-Baptiste Target (1733-1806). French lawyer and politician. In 1789 he was elected deputy of the Third Estate in Paris to the Estates General. He supported the law on the Civil Constitution of the Clergy, of which he was one of the main authors. He presided over the National Constituent Assembly from 18 January to 2 February 1790. Portrait.
