Stephen I the Holy, Sanctus Stephanus, Szent Istvan, born 969 near Esztergom; died 15 August 1038) was a Magyar prince from the Árpád dynasty and from 1000 to 1038 the first king of the Kingdom of Hungary, which he founded. He is considered the national saint of modern-day Hungary, historical, digitally restored reproduction of a 19th century original, Record date not stated.
