John Zápolya (Hungarian: Szapolyai János, Croatian: Ivan Zapolja, Ivan Zapoljski, Romanian: Ioan Zapolya, Serbian: Jovan Zapolja; * 2 February 1487 at the Spiš Castle; † 22 July 1540 in Mühlbach in Transylvania) was a Hungarian aristocrat, Voivode of Transylvania and from 1526 as John I elected King of Hungary and Croatia.
