Légende
Hesiod (born before 700 BC, probably in Ascra in Boeotia) was a Greek poet who lived as a farmer and herder. Hesiod's works, along with Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, are the main sources for our current knowledge of Greek mythology. Colored woodcut from Crabbe's Historical Dictionary from 1825. Historical, digital reproduction.
