Prince Napoleon-Jerome Bonaparte (1822-1891), usually called Jerome Bonaparte, Napoleon-Jerome Bonaparte or Plon Plon. French politician. In January 1883, the Prince published a manifesto that earned him imprisonment in the Conciergerie. He was released after twenty-six days of detention, thanks to the intervention of the Empress Eugenie, who traveled to Paris to mediate his release.
