Cleopatra VII (69-30 B.C.), the daughter of Ptolemy XI,  of Egypt. She married her brother Ptolemy XII and began to rule Egypt with him when she was 17. She later aligned her self with Julius Caesar against her brother. Following Caesar's death, she aligned herself with Mark Antony. Following Antony's death, she is said to have killed herself, as legend has it, by the bite of an asp.
