Amelia Blanford Edwards (1831-1892) was an English novelist, journalist, traveler, and Egyptologist. Among her successful works were 'The Phantom Coach' and 'A Thousand Miles Up the Nile.' She co-founded the Egypt Exploration Fund now known as the Egypt Exploration Society.
