England. Railway accident suffered by one of the ""Salisbury and Dorset Junction Railway"" trains that covered the route between Salisbury-Weymouth, at 4:30 p.m. on June 3, 1884. The train derailed south of Downton in Wiltshire, eight miles from Salisbury. Forty-one people were injured and four died. Three of them drowned when a carriage overturned in a drainage ditch.
