Howell Cobb

Howell Cobb (1815-1868) was a United States Congressman from Georgia (1843-1851, 1855-1857). He also served as the secretary of the Treasury from 1857 to 1860. Cobb chaired the convention in Montgomery, Alabama, that organized the Confederacy.
