New York, New York, December 27, 1932 Radio City raises the curtain on world's largest theatre in New York. The tiered auditorium gives this modernistic aspect to the Radio City Music Hall during its formal opening to a capacity crowd of over 6,000 persons, the most distinguished of first night audiences was present when the largest theatre in the world, first of the $250,000,000 Rockefeller group to be completed, threw open its doors. It is under the direction of S. L. Rothafel, better known as roxy), who gathered a glittering array of talent for the grand opening.
