The World's Columbian Exposition, aka World's Fair: Columbian Exposition, Chicago World's Fair and Chicago Columbian Exposition. A world's fair held in Chicago in 1893 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival to the New World in 1492. The Manufactures and Liberal Arts Building, which exhibited works related to literature, science, art and music. From La Ilustracion Espanola y Americana, published 1892.
