Posthumous executiona of Oliver Cromwell, John Bradshaw and Henry Ireton on January 30 1661, on the 12th anniversary of the beheading of King Charles I. King Charles II ordered the exhumation and defilement of the three of the chief regicides who had caused his father's death and who had all subsequently died of natural causes.
