Zhan Shichai, 1841 - 1893. A Chinese giant who toured the world as Chang the Chinese Giant in the 19th century, his stage name was Chang Woo Gow. Seen here in 1865 with his wife, Kin Foo and his attendant dwarf, Chung. Chang's height was reputed to be over 8 feet (2.44 m). From The Illustrated London News, published 1865.
