June 7, 1945 -US General George S. Patton, Jr., commander of the victorius US third Army which smashed its way into German, attend church services while visiting the town of San Gabriel in California. Gen. Patton visited this church where he had been baptized and confirmed and said, God has been very good to me. I would like to go there and give him my thanks. With him are his wife (left), and his sister, Miss Anne Patton (center).
