Shiva dancing in the hide of the flayed Gajasura

Légende

Eight-armed Shiva emerges out of a red, oval-shaped background, dancing in the hide of the flayed Gajasura. Shiva carries in his right hands the trishula (trident), the damaru (hourglass shaped drum), an unidentified object and a pasha (noose); in his left hands are the mriga (gazelle), a buckler, an arrow (?) and the trishula. His hair is gathered in a jata makuta, from which three jatas fly loose on either side of the head and he wears a tiger skin.
