Pearl Harbor, Dec 7, 1941. 'The US Hawaiian Air Base at Wheeler Airfield was also reduced to a desolate pile of ashes in a moment under the attack of our Sea Eagles. The hangers on the leeward side were first of all enveloped by bombs and burst in flames . Immediately after, the rows of enemy planes on the airfield were entirely destroyed and set afire by the strafing of our Sea Eagles.' Photo released by US Navy
