Turkey. Izmir province. Selcuk. Basilica of St. John. It was constructed by Justinian, 6th century, and transformed into mosque in 1330, destroyed by Timur when he conquered the city in 1402. Detail of a capital with monogram of the Emperor Justinian (483-565).
