Italy. Milan National Exhibition of 1881, located in the area of the Public Gardens. This replica of a Pompeian tavern from the 1st century was built almost in the middle of the Public Gardens by the painter and architect Gaetano Speluzzi (active in Milan in the middle of the 19th century). It was in fact a Milanese confectionary installed in that model of Pompeian house. Engraving. La Ilustracion Española y Americana, 1881.
