Russia, St. Petersburg. Discovery by the police of the mine underground intended to blow up Sadowaia Street (Melaja Sadowaja). It was in the centre of the street that leads through the Newski perspective to the site where Tsar Alexander II had been surveyed. A box of dynamite and nitroglycerine had been placed at a depth of one metre. The control for its detonation was made from a house transformed by the nihilists into a milk and cheese dispenser.
