The French abbess Marie-Catherine de Beauvilliers (1574-1667) with the king Henry IV of France (1553-1610) in the abbey of Montmartre (Paris). As a young, she became one of the many mistresses of King Henry IV of France when he lodged at the abbey while laying siege to Paris in 1590. Engraving by Cham&Aroy, 1851.
