Magic Lantern slide circa 1900 hand coloured. created in 1887. A tour of North Wales. 16 Ogwen Lake.—This is a beautiful sheet of water a mile in length, and is surrounded by the noblest of mountains. The scenery around is bleak and bare in the extreme, and the stillnessand barrenness is appalling. “ There sometimes doth a leaping fish Send through the tarn a lonely cheer ; The crags repeat the raven's croak, In sympathy austere.” The fishing is very good and quite open to the public. Eels and trout abound.
