Magic Lantern slide circa 1900 hand coloured. created in 1887. A tour of North Wales. 11. Stepping-stones at Bettws-y-Coed.— Returning to Bettws, say in the evening, we enjoy a good tea, and then, if fine, take a stroll across to the Conway by the Stepping-stones. To get thither, we must pass through the old churchyard near the railway station, and cross some meadows. This is a very picturesque place, and we may cross and recross the stream in the most primitive fashion with the greatest ease, unless our visit is just after a heavy rain, in which event we shall look in vain for the Stepping-stones, as they will be entirely submerged by the rushing waters.
