Magic Lantern slide circa 1900. Victorian or Edwardian era. The origional monchrome ( black and white ) photograph hand coloured.The photograph is the work of G.W. Wilson photographer and slide manufacturer 1823-1893.George Washington Wilson (7 February 1823 – 9 March 1893) was a pioneering Scottish photographer. The French Riviera and Monte Carlo (lecture ) . Slide 10 St Georges church, Cannes. A beautiful 19th-century building, erected in memory of the Duke of Albany, son of Queen Victoria, who died in Cannes. St George's Church belongs to the British Royal Family. You can admire a recumbent statue of the duke in marble, as well as beautiful stained glass windows. Times for Mass at St George's Church Every Saturday at 5.30 pm, and on Heritage Day.
