Magic Lantern slide circa 1900 hand coloured. created in 1887. A tour of North Wales. 14 Moel Siabod, from near Capel Curig.— This mountain is 2,865 feet in height, and very pre¬cipitous. On this account, as well as that its sides are so thickly strewn with loose fragments, the ascent is ex¬tremely difficult. But the fine view to be obtained of the Snowdon range, with its lakes and hollows, and the Irish Sea beyond, is alone worth the toil of ascent. The scenery from a shoulder of Moel Siabod to Capel Curig is said to rank amongst the finest in Wales. Further on, Capel Curig lakes are reached.
