Magic Lantern slide circa 1900 hand coloured. created in 1887. A tour of North Wales. Lake Cwellyn, with Craig Cwra Bychan. —The road passes along the Lake's margin, and this view is seen to the right. Llyn Cwellyn is nearly two miles in length, and is famous for trout and red char. Mynydd Mawr, is the mountain seen rising its rugged front over the pool and making the scene so gloomy, while on-the right stretches Craig Cwm Bychan. Tradition states that Cidwm, a gigantic warrior, had a stronghold on this rock, and Miss Costello tells a story of his having killed the brother of Constantine the Great.
