The Turks fiasco

The efforts of the Kaiser's only friends, the Turks, have proved to be a complete fiasco. After traversing the desert from Beersheba in ten days, some thousands gained the left bank of the Suez Canal near Toussoum on February 2nd. An attempt was made to cross the waterway by means of a pontoon bridge.
