Captain Adams of the Good Ship Recruit, the land battleship in Union Square, speaks at the Minute Men's headquarters to potential recruits. The young woman, it was said, was so elated with the spirit of the men who chose to enlist that she bestowed a kiss on each of them. Many more would have enlisted had they known what was in store for them!
