U. S. Navy man HM 1/c Marion Myers in the new Mark IV suit developed by B.F. Goodrich to protect aviators from extreme cold. He is surrounded by blocks of ice to simulate the extreme temperature conditions of high atmospheric flight. It was the spacesuit used by all manned Project Mercury space flights.
