Snow Skis On Water

Miami Beach, Florida: 1928
Dick Pope is one of the first to use snow skis in place of an aquaplane on the water. This is one of the first photographs of a water skier going over a jump. Pope and his wife went on to found the Cypress Gardens Park in Florida.
