A test for twelve rookies - two days before mast. Twelve youngsters with their hearts set on a future with Britain's fishery fleets left port recently in a floating "classroom". Their mission: To discover for themselves if they are suited to a life at sea. For 48 hours, the Grimsby trawler Ross Cormorant will be their fishery training ship. Peter Bromley, 15, and Malcolm Hall, 15, carrying fish baskets to the store as they help load the ship for the trip.
