"Ah, Prof. Schnitzel, if only we could make that one!"

HitlerÍs secret weapons planners brought to life the V1 and V2 flying bombs. They had also built, but not managed to make fully functional, a V3 weapon. This multiple shell- launching 50-barrelled super gun was sited near Calais. It was theoretically capable of raining a shell every few minutes on London. However, its projectiles tended to tumble in flight, making them inaccurate and short of range, and it was never used against the Allies before it was captured after the Normandy breakout in the autumn of 1944.
