France. Val d'Oise. La boutique aux souvenirs de l'abbaye cistercienne de Royaumont fondee par Saint Louis et sa mere Blanche de Castille en 1228. Et premiere fondation culturelle francaise creee en 1964. Le site a ete successivement monastere, abbaye de cour, site industriel, noviciat, hopital lors de la Premiere Guerre Mondiale, residence de campagne, et aujourd'hui residences d'artistes et lieu de concerts.
Ici, la tourelle avec l'escalier en colimacon situee autrefois au nord-est du transept.

The site has been successively a monastery, a court abbey, an industrial site, a novitiate, a hospital during the First World War, a country residence, and today artists' residences and a concert place.
