The book was published in the period 1889-1904 by Uitgeversmaatschappij LJ Veen in Amsterdam., sleeping on the ground, Gulliver, A black and white pen drawing shows large reclining figures with draped fabric and rounded forms filling most of the upper area, drawn with fine crosshatching and contour lines; one visible hand rests on a rounded surface and part of a face with closed eyes and a beard is partially shown near the top; a small standing figure in a pointed hat and simple clothes appears near the bottom, walking among scattered rocks and pebbles; the background behind the large forms is densely shaded with tight crosshatching.
